Courtney Briskey, PT, DPT

Courtney Briskey, DPT, graduated from Oakland University in 2014 earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Michigan Physical Therapy Association since 2011.
Throughout her childhood, Courtney competed in a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Her participation in these activities is what led Courtney to her interest and fascination with the study of movement.
She treats each patient with an individualized approach to help her patients improve and reach their personal rehab goals and return to their daily activities. Courtney implements many different techniques throughout her treatment, such as manual based or a hands-on approach, therapeutic exercise, kinesiotape application, posture education, and body mechanic training.
Courtney is passionate about treating geriatrics, orthopedics, post-surgical, and neck/back pain and hopes to continue expanding her knowledge even further in these areas.

Amy Clapp, MPT

Amy Clapp, MPT, attended Oakland University, graduating in 1997 with her Masters in Physical Therapy. She has been a Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students from Oakland University, Wayne State University, and Grand Valley State University. She joined the SIRM team in 2005, after having practiced in inpatient, acute rehab, and outpatient settings.
Amy emphasizes personalized care, spending hands-on time with her patients and helping to ensure their best functional outcome. Though she enjoys treating patients with all diagnoses, she has special interest and advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, geriatric, and neck and back pain. As a performing oboist and oboe instructor, she also has a special interest in Performing Arts Medicine, uniquely treating musicians who have developed pain which is impeding their ability to perform.

Anahita Kavarana, PT

Anahita Kavarana, PT, earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1999 from The University of Mumbai, India and her M. S. in Human Movement Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002.
She has spent her time practicing as a physical therapist in various settings for over 20 years focusing on patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction. She also has a strong background in neurological rehabilitation.
Her treatment methods include the use of the Neurodevelopmental Technique, Craniosacral therapy and Trigger point release therapy. Anahita’s treatment philosophy emphasizes a hands-on individualized care approach for each patient, facilitating a faster and optimal functional recovery.

Stephanie Kibler is a dedicated, licensed, Massage Therapist in the state of Michigan with 15+ years experience. She completed her massage program at Everest Institute in 2008. She is trained in Swedish massage, Deep tissue, Prenatal, Trigger point, and Myofascial release.
Stephanie has worked at several different settings such as spas, chiropractors, and rehabilitation clinics. She is passionate about helping others feel their best. She specializes in working with severe accident victims, and helping patients recover from life changing events. She is committed to providing personalized care to each client, tailoring her treatments to address specific concerns and promote relaxation and healing.

Chelsie Mowers, PTA

Chelsie Mowers, PTA, graduated from Michigan State University in 2013, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. She then went on to graduate from the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at South University.
After working as a PT Technician for 4 years, Chelsie saw firsthand how important it is to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, leading to her love of the profession. Her treatment approach emphasizes the use of therapeutic exercise and manual therapy to restore function and mobility in her patients.
Chelsie is passionate about treating joint replacements and sports injuries with focus on knee and shoulder rehabilitation. She is an active Graston Technique and cupping provider and has recently expanded her knowledge in the treatment of sacroiliac dysfunction, lumbar spine, and kinesiotape application.

Dezirae Robinson, PT, DPT

Dezirae Robinson, PT, DPT, is a two-time Oakland University Alum with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in exercise science, received in 2018, as well as a Doctorate of Physical Therapy received in 2021.
Dezirae knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Dezirae loved the idea that she could treat many types of people in a variety of settings. Dezirae has a passion for altruism and loves to create a personal relationship with her patients to ensure all their goals are being met and that they receive the best care possible.
After working as a PT tech for SIRM for 5 years while finishing school, Dezirae witnessed firsthand the importance of personalized care to a patient’s recovery. Dezirae is certified in LSVT BIG treatment, used for Parkinson’s as well as other neurological conditions. Yet, Dezirae enjoys treating patients with all diagnoses and conditions and believes the key to providing the best treatment is being personal, attentive, and resourceful.

Margie Schuldinger, PT

Margie Schuldinger, PT, earned her B.S. in Psychology from Wayne State University in 1984 and her B.S. in Physical Therapy from California State University in 1988. She has enjoyed her role as a physical therapist from the start and continues to have passion for her profession.
Her first 10 years focused on neurological rehabilitation, and the past 16 years on orthopedics.
As an assistant professor at Baker College PTA program, Margie taught anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, psychology of injury, and several other classes. She currently teaches anatomy and physiology to a variety of yoga certification programs.
She blends her multiple approaches of manual techniques with solid instruction of exercise and body mechanics for patient safety. She likes to think both “in” and “outside the box” to individualize patient care.
Margie has a strong interest in utilizing Yoga and Pilate’s philosophy with treatment and exercise. Recently, she has developed a program to treat patients with scoliosis.

Lori Zywiol, PT, DPT

Lori Zywiol, DPT, graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Oakland University in 2009.
Lori decided to become a Physical Therapist after gaining first-hand experience as a patient. She was a competitive figure skater for over 10 years. After the motivation, care and dedication from her physical therapist, she was sold on the profession.
She is passionate about utilizing manual skills and functional based exercises to treat populations in orthopedics, post-surgical, vestibular and pregnancy related pain. She is an active Graston Technique and cupping provider delivering an effective and unique treatment to mobilize soft tissue.
Lori keeps in mind that each individual may respond differently to pain relief. People have different body types, different patterns of movement, and different habits. She monitors each individual and corrects improper habits and movement patterns through a personalized therapy program.

Lori Broecker, RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CRRN
Lori Broecker, RN, MSN, APRN-BC, CRRN was born and raised in the Detroit area. After Graduating from Oakland University as a Registered Nurse, she worked in the Medical-Surgical Field. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University.
After she graduated, she worked in Family practice with a focus on the primary care of Women, Geriatrics, and Sub-acute Rehabilitation. She currently focuses her practice in collaboration with the PMR physicians, on the rehabilitation care of patients with a variety of medical and surgical problems both in the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Crittenton Hospital and area Sub-acute Rehabilitation Facilities
Lori can most often be found on the Rehab Unit of Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (Crittenton) and is a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners. Lori has her certificate from the American Nurse Credentialing Center. Lori is a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner Students in area Colleges and Universities.
Lori is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. “Attaining CRRN certification validates your professional standing as an experienced rehabilitation nurse with a documented level of knowledge in this specialized area of practice”(Association of Rehabilitation Nurses).

Tabatha Cronander, MSN, FNP-C, CRRN

Tabatha Cronander, MSN, RN, FNP-C has worked in various settings in healthcare. As a registered nurse she worked inpatient in Maternal Child Health and in outpatient surgery. After completing her graduate degree from the University of Michigan – Flint she worked in both internal medicine and urgent care. She has recently dedicated her practice to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Tabatha is excited to join a dedicated team of professionals aiding in promoting patient’s quality of life and functional outcomes.
Tabatha is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She is an active member of the Center for Education of Women (CEW) at the University of Michigan, the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She was named a Margaret Dow Towsley scholar in 2018 by the CEW. Tabatha enjoys spending her free time volunteering in various capacities within the community.
Josini Devis, MSN, NP-C
Josini Devis, RN, MSN, NP-C graduated from Grand Canyon University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked as a nurse for several years on a Cardiac Specialty Unit. Josini then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Madonna University and became a Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Jennifer Goodin, MSN, FNP-C
Jennifer Goodin, MSN, FNP-C graduated from University of Detroit Mercy with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After gaining several years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Jennifer later attended the University of Michigan-Flint where she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a Board Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practioners.

Erica Grace, PA-C
Erica Grace, PA-C graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Erica then moved on to Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine where she obtained a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Erica has dedicated her practice to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where she can practice in her patient specialty area and focus on providing quality care to her patients.

Michelle Gustafson, MSN, NP-C
Michelle Gustafson, MSN, NP-C attended Ferris State University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Michelle later attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona where she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Julia Langowski, MSN, ANP-C
Julia Langowski, RN, MSN, ANP-C graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She worked in various settings as a nurse including Post-Anesthesia Care Units. She then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Wayne State University and became a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Since she has obtained her masters, she has worked in Chronic Pain, Geriatrics, Primary Care, and now, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Julie Long, MSN, AGPCNP-BC
Julie Long, MSN, AGPCNP-BC graduated from Davenport University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After gaining several years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Julie later attended the Eastern Michigan University where she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and became an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She is a Board Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practioners as well as the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Molly Maki, MSN, FNP-BC, CRRN
Molly Maki, RN, MSN, FNP-BC was born and raised in the Detroit area. After graduating from Saginaw Valley State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, she worked in the Adult Medical Progressive Care Unit, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy and became a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Molly is an active member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners.

After high school, she moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend Arizona State University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After gaining several years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Kara dedicated her time to advance her education and career. She attended the University of Cincinnati where she graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Kara has nursing experience in pain management, retail health, pediatrics, endoscopy, and telemetry. Emma Skillman, MSN, FNP-C
Emma Skillman, MSN, FNP-C was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. After graduating from University of Michigan with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she dedicated her practice to the Burn, Surgical and Rehabilitation unit at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. After gaining several years of experience, she completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Oakland University and became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Kira Griffin, Practice Manager
Kira Griffin is responsible for supporting the Professional Staff and overseeing all medical associates. She is primarily at the Rochester office, and frequently visits both the Bloomfield & Commerce locations.
Kira obtained her Bachelors degree from Oakland University with a degree in Health Sciences. From there she moved on to Central Michigan University where she obtained a Master’s of Science in Health Services Administration.
Kira’s goal is to create a positive, friendly, and efficient environment for everyone that works at and visits our practice and to ensure that we provide the highest quality of patient care.
Kira is an outdoor enthusiast. When she is not at work, you can find her outside Biking the Gravel trails or Mountain Bike trails, Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Golfing, Disc Golfing, Kayaking and so much more.

Renee Snover, Medical Assistant Coordinator
Renee Snover is responsible for supporting our physicians and overseeing the medical support staff at Specialists in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Some of her responsibilities include insuring that the staff have an effective, courteous and professional relationship with not only our physicians, but every patient that walks through our door. Renee can be found working at any of our three offices.
Renee is an avid dog lover and works with rescue centers throughout the Detroit Metro Area to train and find families for her four-legged friends.
