Rachel Abouzaid, M.D.
Dr. Rachel Abouzaid was born and raised in southeast Michigan. After obtaining her medical degree from Michigan State College of Human Medicine, she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Wayne State University/Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. She then went on to complete a pain medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Health in Detroit.
Dr. Abouzaid performs minimally invasive spine and non-operative sports medicine procedures, as well as spinal cord injury, headache, spasticity, and cancer pain management.
Dr. Abouzaid strives to provide patients with tools to improve their pain and subsequently their quality of life. She values collaboration with her patients in order to outline a personalized treatment plan to achieve patient goals. Using interventional techniques when necessary, she bases her practice around improving function and quality of life.
