Shawn Achtman, D.O.

Shawn Achtman, D.O., is a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He completed his residency training at William Beaumont Hospital in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Afterwards, to further specialize, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Management through Michigan State University.

Dr. Achtman treats all musculoskeletal conditions, new and old. He uses a multimodal approach to treatment including pharmaceutical and holistic options. Regardless of the underlying condition his goal is to improve your function. He wants you to be able to perform the activities you need to and the ones you want to. As an athlete himself, he has sustained multiple musculoskeletal injuries and understands the value in appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
